would not be complete without the album's main attraction, Raye's haunting

HEALING
RAGAS – Mandala
"Meditative" would probably be the most accurate
word to describe this album from the collective talents of Manish
Vyas and Bikram Singh, together known as Mandala. Healing
Ragas is a very soothing, atmospheric album of Asian instrumentation,
which focuses heavily on the interwoven sonorities of the earthy bansuri
flute (Singh) and the metallic plucking of the santoor (Vyas). A sea
of tonal synthesizers, courtesy of Shastro, adds to the subtle ambience
of the pieces. The album is divided into two 30-minute ragas: the
night-themed "Raga Yaman" and the day-themed "Raga
Bhaivari." Each fills the listener with a sense of intense calm,
drawing their thoughts inward and facilitating healing.

NATURE'S
ENCHANTMENT – Marina Raye

gorgeous. However, what's amazing is how a wildlife backdrop really
brings out the natural beauty of the instrument. Nature’s Enchantment
features the meandering flute melodies of Raye intertwined with birdsong,
lapping waves, bubbling streams, crickets and other ambient forest
sounds. Listening to the music, you can almost imagine Raye sitting
among a cluster of trees, playing her flute as moonlight breaks through
the forest canopy. The music is utterly serene and impressionistic
- you just want to close your eyes and imagine yourself being whisked
